¹² For it is a fire that consumeth unto Destruction, And would root out all mine increase.

²⁷ Can a man take fire in his bosom, And his clothes not be burned?

³⁰ He shall not depart out of darkness; The flame shall dry up his branches, And by the breath of `God's' mouth shall he go away.

²⁸ The increase of his house shall depart; `His goods' shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

⁶ Sheol is naked before `God', And Abaddon hath no covering.

³³ The curse of Jehovah is in the house of the wicked; But he blesseth the habitation of the righteous.

⁷ How can I pardon thee? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the harlots' houses.

⁸ They were as fed horses roaming at large; every one neighed after his neighbor's wife.

⁹ Shall I not visit for these things? saith Jehovah; and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

⁵ And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner `from his right', and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁴ `Let' marriage `be' had in honor among all, and `let' the bed `be' undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
