²³ For calamity from God is a terror to me, And by reason of his majesty I can do nothing.

¹¹ Shall not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall upon you?

¹²⁰ My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; And I am afraid of thy judgments.

¹¹ Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.

¹⁵ Alas for the day! for the day of Jehovah is at hand, and as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

⁶ Wail ye; for the day of Jehovah is at hand; as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

⁷ Thou, even thou, art to be feared; And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

⁵ I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now mine eye seeth thee:

⁶ Wherefore I abhor `myself', And repent in dust and ashes.

⁹ Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

²⁰ Let his own eyes see his destruction, And let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

²³ When he is about to fill his belly, `God' will cast the fierceness of his wrath upon him, And will rain it upon him while he is eating.

⁹ he is not greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
