⁶ And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.

¹⁰ With us are both the gray-headed and the very aged men, Much elder than thy father.

¹ Rebuke not an elder, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brethren:

⁵ Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

³² Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

²⁸ And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why art thou come down? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thy heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

²⁹ And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

³⁰ And he turned away from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

⁷ Art thou the first man that was born? Or wast thou brought forth before the hills?

⁷ Render to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute `is due'; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

⁶ the younger men likewise exhort to be sober-minded:
