²⁵ Therefore he taketh knowledge of their works; And he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

²⁰ In a moment they die, even at midnight; The people are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without hand.

¹⁵ He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

⁸ They all handle the sword, `and' are expert in war: Every man hath his sword upon his thigh, Because of fear in the night.

¹ The burden of Moab. For in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, `and' brought to nought; for in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, `and' brought to nought.

¹⁸ For I `know' their works and their thoughts: `the time' cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.

² And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now have their own doings beset them about; they are before my face.

⁷ Jehovah hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

² For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

¹² And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is `the book' of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
