³⁴ Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover thee?

¹¹ Or darkness, so that thou canst not see, And abundance of waters cover thee.

¹⁸ So Samuel called unto Jehovah; and Jehovah sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel.

²⁷ For he draweth up the drops of water, Which distil in rain from his vapor,

²⁸ Which the skies pour down And drop upon man abundantly.

⁸ `seek him' that maketh the Pleiades and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night; that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth (Jehovah is his name);

¹ Ask ye of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, `even of' Jehovah that maketh lightnings; and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

¹⁸ And he prayed again; and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
