²¹ He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, And thy lips with shouting.

² Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the nations, Jehovah hath done great things for them.

⁶ And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh. Every one that heareth will laugh with me.

²¹ Blessed `are' ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed `are' ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

¹⁴ behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.

¹ Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all ye lands.

⁴ Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all the earth: Break forth and sing for joy, yea, sing praises.

¹¹ Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous; And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

²² At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh; Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

⁴³ And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

¹¹ And they sang one to another in praising and giving thanks unto Jehovah, `saying', For he is good, for his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Jehovah, because the foundation of the house of Jehovah was laid.

¹² But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' `houses', the old men that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:

¹³ so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people; for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
