⁶ If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

¹⁹ Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him:

²⁰ because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God;

²² and whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

⁶ Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.

⁸ I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?

¹⁰ Say ye of the righteous, that `it shall be' well `with him'; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.

⁴ They run and prepare themselves without `my' fault: Awake thou to help me, and behold.

⁵ Even thou, O Jehovah God of hosts, the God of Israel, Arise to visit all the nations: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah

²³ Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast `us' not off for ever.

⁵ I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And will not sit with the wicked.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency: So will I compass thine altar, O Jehovah;

²³ If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.

²⁴ And lay thou `thy' treasure in the dust, And `the gold of' Ophir among the stones of the brooks;

²⁵ And the Almighty will be thy treasure, And precious silver unto thee.

²⁶ For then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, And shalt lift up thy face unto God.

²⁷ Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he will hear thee; And thou shalt pay thy vows.

²⁸ Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; And light shall shine upon thy ways.

²⁹ When they cast `thee' down, thou shalt say, `There is' lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

³⁰ He will deliver `even' him that is not innocent: Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.

¹⁴ And they say unto God, Depart from us; For we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

¹⁵ What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

¹⁷ Although there is no violence in my hands, And my prayer is pure.

²⁴ And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing.

⁶ Is not thy fear `of God' thy confidence, `And' the integrity of thy ways thy hope?

⁷ Remember, I pray thee, who `ever' perished, being innocent? Or where were the upright cut off?

⁸ And Jehovah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil.
