² And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and when his wife's sons grew up, they drove out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of another woman.

²⁴ To keep thee from the evil woman, From the flattery of the foreigner's tongue.

²⁵ Lust not after her beauty in thy heart; Neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

²⁶ For on account of a harlot `a man is brought' to a piece of bread; And the adulteress hunteth for the precious life.

³⁰ Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
