¹⁸ The well, which the princes digged, Which the nobles of the people delved, With the sceptre, `and' with their staves. And from the wilderness `they journeyed' to Mattanah;

⁴⁵ And they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

⁴⁷ And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²² For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us.

⁵ And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord.

¹ Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.

⁷ Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben-hail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;

⁸ and with them the Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.

⁹ And they taught in Judah, having the book of the law of Jehovah with them; and they went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught among the people.

⁴ Moses commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

³¹ But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

¹² One `only' is the lawgiver and judge, `even' he who is able to save and to destroy: but who art thou that judgest thy neighbor?
