¹⁰ I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,

⁹ together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that `are done' here.

¹⁵ For though ye have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet `have ye' not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begat you through the gospel.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you--

¹ And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

² And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

³ And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet.

⁴ And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

⁵ Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

⁶ And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold, thy servant!

⁷ And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

⁵ And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.

³⁷ Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

³⁸ And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

¹⁷ And one of the multitude answered him, Teacher, I brought unto thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit;

² unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ to Titus, my true child after a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
