⁵ A faithful witness will not lie; But a false witness uttereth lies.

¹⁹ A false witness that uttereth lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren.

¹⁷ He that uttereth truth showeth forth righteousness; But a false witness, deceit.

¹ Thou shalt not take up a false report: put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

⁵ A false witness shall not be unpunished; And he that uttereth lies shall not escape.

⁹ A false witness shall not be unpunished; And he that uttereth lies shall perish.

²⁵ A true witness delivereth souls; But he that uttereth lies `causeth' deceit.

⁵ A righteous man hateth lying; But a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

¹² And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.

¹³ And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets `declare' good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good.

¹⁴ And Micaiah said, As Jehovah liveth, what Jehovah saith unto me, that will I speak.

¹³ And the two men, the base fellows, came in and sat before him: and the base fellows bare witness against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did curse God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him to death with stones.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
