⁷³ YODH. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

¹⁴ I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, `And' curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

¹⁶ Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, `Even' the days that were ordained `for me', When as yet there was none of them.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do `his commandments': His praise endureth for ever.

¹⁶⁹ TAV. Let my cry come near before thee, O Jehovah: Give me understanding according to thy word.

¹⁴⁴ Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live.

¹²⁵ I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.

³ Know ye that Jehovah, he is God: It is he that hath made us, and we are his; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

¹⁵ Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, `even' in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

⁷ Consider what I say; for the Lord shall give thee understanding in all things.

³⁴ Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

⁸ But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

⁸ Thy hands have framed me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.

⁹ Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast fashioned me as clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again?

¹⁰ Hast thou not poured me out as milk, And curdled me like cheese?

¹¹ Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews.

¹² Huram said moreover, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for Jehovah, and a house for his kingdom.

¹² Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God.
