¹ The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.

¹⁹ because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them.

²⁰ For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, `even' his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

⁶ And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. Selah

³ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:

¹⁵ and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

³ Praise ye him, sun and moon: Praise him, all ye stars of light.

⁴ Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that are above the heavens.

¹ Praise ye Jehovah. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power.

² Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

³ And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

¹⁶ The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah; But the earth hath he given to the children of men.

⁶ By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

⁷ And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

⁸ And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

²² `It is' he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

²³ that bringeth princes to nothing; that maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

²⁴ Yea, they have not been planted; yea, they have not been sown; yea, their stock hath not taken root in the earth: moreover he bloweth upon them, and they wither, and the whirlwind taketh them away as stubble.

²⁵ To whom then will ye liken me, that I should be equal `to him'? saith the Holy One.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

¹¹ Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens:
