⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, `and' righteous altogether.

¹⁴² Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth.

¹ ALEPH. Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah.

¹¹ Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

¹² What man is he that desireth life, And loveth `many' days, that he may see good?

¹³ Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.

¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.

²⁴ Only fear Jehovah, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you.

¹² And it will come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of Jehovah will carry thee whither I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he will slay me: but I thy servant fear Jehovah from my youth.

¹⁵ But the former governors that were before me were chargeable unto the people, and took of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

⁵ His ways are firm at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight: As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.

¹ The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

⁶ Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; Thy judgments are a great deep: O Jehovah, thou preservest man and beast.

¹ Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king's son.

² He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do `his commandments': His praise endureth for ever.

¹ Praise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

³ Wealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endureth for ever.

⁴ Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: `He is' gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

⁵ Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth; He shall maintain his cause in judgment.

⁶ For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

¹³ He will bless them that fear Jehovah, Both small and great.

¹⁰⁶ I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous ordinances.

¹³⁷ TSADHE. Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, And upright are thy judgments.

¹³⁸ Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness And very faithfulness.

² for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, her that corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

³ And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly:

⁴ for it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

⁸ And what great nation is there, that hath statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

¹ Now these are the ordinances which thou shalt set before them.

¹⁸ And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live: for I fear God:

¹² And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.

³⁹ Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; For thine ordinances are good.

⁶² At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances.

⁷⁵ I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

¹⁹ He showeth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate.

⁸ Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial `name', is the desire of our soul.

²² And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned `of God' by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.

² And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practise such things.

¹⁰ as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;

¹¹ There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God;

¹² They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not, so much as one:

¹³ Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips:

¹⁴ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

¹⁵ Their feet are swift to shed blood;

¹⁶ Destruction and misery are in their ways;

¹⁷ And the way of peace have they not known:

¹⁸ There is no fear of God before their eyes.

²² Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God's goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are thy ways, thou King of the ages.

⁷ And I heard the altar saying, Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

⁷ I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, When I learn thy righteous judgments.
