²⁵ I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.

⁵ Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.

¹³ His soul shall dwell at ease; And his seed shall inherit the land.

²² For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.

⁵ and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;

⁶ For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

²⁸ For Jehovah loveth justice, And forsaketh not his saints; They are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

⁹ pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;

²² A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children; And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.

¹⁸ Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto `the next' generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

⁸ Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,

⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:

¹⁶ And there went with us also `certain' of the disciples from Caesarea, bringing `with them' one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we should lodge.

¹⁴ For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

⁹ Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

¹⁵ They shall wander up and down for food, And tarry all night if they be not satisfied.

⁶ And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.

⁷ I said, Days should speak, And multitude of years should teach wisdom.

²³ He wandereth abroad for bread, `saying', Where is it? He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

⁵ There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life. as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

¹⁰ Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; And let them seek `their bread' out of their desolate places.

¹⁶ Their infants also shall be dashed in pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be rifled, and their wives ravished.
