⁶ Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.

²³ Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast `us' not off for ever.

²³ Stir up thyself, and awake to the justice `due' unto me, `Even' unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

⁷ Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

¹⁰ Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted.

⁶ Jehovah executeth righteous acts, And judgments for all that are oppressed.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand will save me.

¹³ Jehovah standeth up to contend, and standeth to judge the peoples.

²⁰ Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, even thou only.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?

¹ O Jehovah, thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.

² Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: Render to the proud `their' desert.

⁶⁵ Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, Like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.

⁵ Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

¹ Strive thou, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me: Fight thou against them that fight against me.

¹ Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.

² As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

²⁰ As a dream when one awaketh, So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.

³ Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual ruins, All the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary.

⁸ Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; The earth feared, and was still,

⁹ When God arose to judgment, To save all the meek of the earth. Selah

¹⁴ And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For Jehovah had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that Jehovah might bring evil upon Absalom.
