¹⁰ For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

⁴ One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple.

⁸ Jehovah, I love the habitation of thy house, And the place where thy glory dwelleth.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, Nor my life with men of blood;

¹⁰ In whose hands is wickedness, And their right hand is full of bribes.

² So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, To see thy power and thy glory.

⁴ Incline not my heart to any evil thing, To practise deeds of wickedness With men that work iniquity: And let me not eat of their dainties.

⁵ Let the righteous smite me, `it shall be' a kindness; And let him reprove me, `it shall be as' oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.

¹⁴ From men by thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, whose portion is in `this' life, And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with `beholding' thy form. ²⁰ For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

⁵ For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

⁶ For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

³ Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me: Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, And to thy tabernacles.

⁴ Then will I go unto the altar of God, Unto God my exceeding joy; And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God.

⁴⁶ And it came to pass, after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them, and asking them questions:

¹ How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

² My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.

³ and ye have regard to him that weareth the fine clothing, and say, Sit thou here in a good place; and ye say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or sit under my footstool;
