⁵ Thy head upon thee is like Carmel, And the hair of thy head like purple; The king is held captive in the tresses `thereof'.

² It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

¹ Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are `as' doves behind thy veil. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, That lie along the side of mount Gilead.

¹⁴ And his head and his hair were white as white wool, `white' as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

¹⁹ and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increasing with the increase of God.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

¹⁵ but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, `even' Christ;

¹⁶ from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in `due' measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.

²² and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

¹⁴ Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

¹¹ His head is `as' the most fine gold; His locks are bushy, `and' black as a raven.

¹⁷ The beams of our house are cedars, `And' our rafters are firs.

² Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion More than all the dwellings of Jacob.

²⁴ They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

²⁶ And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
