³ O Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; In the morning will I order `my prayer' unto thee, and will keep watch.

⁸ Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early.

¹ It is a good thing to give thanks unto Jehovah, And to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High;

² To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night,

³ With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; With a solemn sound upon the harp.

²² `It is of' Jehovah's lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

²³ They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

²⁴ Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

²⁵ Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

¹ Oh sing unto Jehovah a new song: Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth.

² Sing unto Jehovah, bless his name; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

³ Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

⁴ For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with `beholding' thy form. ⁶ In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thy hand; for thou knowest not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

¹⁶ But I will sing of thy strength; Yea, I will sing aloud of thy lovingkindness in the morning: For thou hast been my high tower, And a refuge in the day of my distress.

¹ I will extol thee, my God, O King; And I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

² Every day will I bless thee; And I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

³ Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.

¹³ But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried; And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.

²⁴ This is the day which Jehovah hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

¹⁰ who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

⁹⁷ Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.

⁸ `Yet' Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time; And in the night his song shall be with me, `Even' a prayer unto the God of my life.

⁸ They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

¹⁵ She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth food to her household, And their task to her maidens.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

⁴ Sing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial `name'.

⁵ For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy `cometh' in the morning.

⁶ As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

¹⁹ And we have the word of prophecy `made' more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

⁵ For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy `cometh' in the morning.
