^{6 Ref} And it came about, on another Sabbath, that he went into the Synagogue and was teaching there. And a man was there whose right hand was dead.

^{7 Ref} And the scribes and Pharisees were watching him to see if he would make him well on the Sabbath, so that they might be able to say something against him.

^{8 Ref} But he had knowledge of their thoughts; and he said to the man whose hand was dead, Get up and come into the middle. And he got up and came forward.

^{9 Ref} And Jesus said, I put the question to you, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to take it away?

^{10 Ref} And looking round on all of them, he said to him, Put out your hand. And he did so: and his hand was made well.

^{11 Ref} But they were full of wrath, and were talking together about what they might do to Jesus.

^{7 Ref} And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

^{8 Ref} But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

^{9 Ref} And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?

^{10 Ref} And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did `so': and his hand was restored.

^{11 Ref} But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

^{9 Ref} Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?"

^{10 Ref} He looked around at them all, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.

^{11 Ref} But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.
