^{2 Ref} How long is my soul to be in doubt, with sorrow in my heart all the day? how long will he who is against me be given power over me?

^{3 Ref} Let my voice come before you, and give me an answer, O Lord my God; let your light be shining on me, so that the sleep of death may not overtake me;

^{4 Ref} And he who is against me may not say, I have overcome him; and those who are troubling me may not be glad when I am moved.

^{5 Ref} But I have had faith in your mercy; my heart will be glad in your salvation.

^{6 Ref} I will make a song to the Lord, because he has given me my reward.

^{1 Ref} How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

^{2 Ref} How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

^{3 Ref} Consider `and' answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the `sleep of' death;

^{4 Ref} Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; `Lest' mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

^{5 Ref} But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
