^{1 Ref} And the second heritage came out for the tribe of Simeon by their families; and their heritage was in the middle of the heritage of the children of Judah.

^{2 Ref} And they had for their heritage Beer-sheba and Shema and Moladah

^{3 Ref} And Hazar-shual and Balah and Ezem

^{4 Ref} And Eltolad and Bethul and Hormah

^{5 Ref} And Ziklag and Beth-marcaboth and Hazar-susah

^{6 Ref} And Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen towns with their unwalled places;

^{7 Ref} Ain, Rimmon, and Ether and Ashan; four towns with their unwalled places;

^{8 Ref} And all the unwalled places round about these towns as far as Baalath-beer-ramah to the south. This is the heritage of the tribe of Simeon by their families.

^{9 Ref} The heritage of Simeon was taken out of Judah's stretch of land, for Judah's part was more than they had need of, so the heritage of the children of Simeon was inside their heritage.

^{10 Ref} And the third heritage came out for Zebulun by their families; the limit of their heritage was as far as Sarid;

^{11 Ref} And their limit goes up to the west to Maralah, stretching to Dabbesheth, and to the stream in front of Jokneam;

^{12 Ref} Then turning east from Sarid to the limit of Chisloth-tabor, it goes out to Daberath, and up to Japhia;

^{13 Ref} And from there it goes on east to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin; ending at Rimmon which goes as far as Neah;

¹⁴ And the line goes round it on the north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el;

^{15 Ref} And Kattath and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Beth-lehem; twelve towns with their unwalled places.

¹⁶ This is the heritage of the children of Zebulun by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.

¹⁷ For Issachar the fourth heritage came out, for the children of Issachar by their families;

^{18 Ref} And their limit was to Jezreel and Chesulloth and Shunem

¹⁹ And Hapharaim and Shion and Anaharath

²⁰ And Rabbith and Kishion and Ebez

^{21 Ref} And Remeth and En-gannim and En-haddah and Beth-pazzez;

^{22 Ref} And their limit goes as far as Tabor and Shahazimah and Beth-shemesh, ending at Jordan; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.

²³ This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Issachar by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.

^{24 Ref} And the fifth heritage came out for the tribe of Asher by their families.

^{25 Ref} And their limit was Helkath and Hali and Beten and Achshaph

^{26 Ref} And Alammelech and Amad and Mishal, stretching to Carmel on the west and Shihor-libnath;

^{27 Ref} Turning to the east to Beth-dagon and stretching to Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el as far as Beth-emek and Neiel to the north; on the left it goes as far as Cabul

^{28 Ref} And Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, to great Zidon;

^{29 Ref} And the limit goes round to Ramah and the walled town of Tyre and Hosah, ending at the sea by Heleb and Achzib;

^{30 Ref} And Ummah and Aphek and Rehob; twenty-two towns with their unwalled places.

^{31 Ref} This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Asher by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.

³² For the children of Naphtali the sixth heritage came out, for the children of Naphtali by their families;

^{33 Ref} And their limit was from Heleph, from the oak-tree in Zaanannim, and Adami-hannekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, ending at Jordan;

^{34 Ref} And turning west to Aznoth-tabor, the limit goes out from there to Hukkok, stretching to Zebulun on the south, and Asher on the west, and Judah at Jordan on the east.

^{35 Ref} And the walled towns are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth

^{36 Ref} And Adamah and Ramah and Hazor

^{37 Ref} And Kedesh and Edrei and En-Hazor

³⁸ And Iron and Migdal-el, Horem and Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen towns with their unwalled places.

³⁹ This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Naphtali by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.

⁴⁰ For the tribe of Dan by their families the seventh heritage came out;

^{41 Ref} And the limit of their heritage was Zorah and Eshtaol and Ir-shemesh

^{42 Ref} And Shaalabbin and Aijalon and Ithlah

^{43 Ref} And Elon and Timnah and Ekron

^{44 Ref} And Eltekeh and Gibbethon and Baalath

^{45 Ref} And Jehud and Bene-berak and Gath-rimmon;

^{46 Ref} And on the west was ... opposite Joppa.

^{47 Ref} (But the limit of the children of Dan was not wide enough for them; so the children of Dan went up and made war on Leshem and took it, putting it to the sword without mercy, and they took it for their heritage and made a place for themselves there, giving it the name of Leshem-dan, after the name of their father, Dan.)

⁴⁸ This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Dan by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.

^{49 Ref} So the distribution of the land and its limits was complete; and the children of Israel gave Joshua, the son of Nun, a heritage among them;

^{50 Ref} By the orders of the Lord they gave him the town for which he made request, Timnath-serah in the hill-country of Ephraim: there, after building the town, he made his living-place.

^{51 Ref} These are the heritages which Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the heads of families of the tribes of the children of Israel gave out at Shiloh, by the decision of the Lord, at the door of the Tent of meeting. So the distribution of the land was complete.

^{1 Ref} The second lot came out for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah.

^{2 Ref} They had for their inheritance Beersheba, or Sheba, and Moladah,

^{4 Ref} and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

^{5 Ref} and Ziklag, and Beth Marcaboth, and Hazar Susah,

^{9 Ref} Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the midst of their inheritance.

^{10 Ref} The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families; and the border of their inheritance was to Sarid;

^{11 Ref} and their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth; and it reached to the brook that is before Jokneam;

^{12 Ref} and it turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor; and it went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia;

^{13 Ref} and from there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Eth-kazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah;

¹⁴ and the border turned about it on the north to Hannathon; and the goings out of it were at the valley of Iphtah El;

^{15 Ref} and Kattath, and Nahalal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

^{29 Ref} and the border turned to Ramah, and to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah; and the goings out of it were at the sea by the region of Achzib;

^{30 Ref} Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.

^{31 Ref} This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

³² The sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

^{33 Ref} Their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, and Adaminekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakkum; and the goings out of it were at the Jordan;

^{34 Ref} and the border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok; and it reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.

^{35 Ref} The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

^{36 Ref} and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

^{37 Ref} and Kedesh, and Edrei, and En Hazor,

³⁹ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.

⁴⁰ The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

^{41 Ref} The border of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Irshemesh,

^{42 Ref} and Shaalabbin, and Aijalon, and Ithlah,

^{43 Ref} and Elon, and Timnah, and Ekron,

^{44 Ref} and Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,

^{45 Ref} and Jehud, and Bene-berak, and Gath-rimmon,

^{46 Ref} and Me-jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border over against Joppa.

^{47 Ref} The border of the children of Dan went out beyond them; for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

⁴⁸ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

^{49 Ref} So they made an end of distributing the land for inheritance by the borders of it; and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them:

^{50 Ref} according to the commandment of Yahweh they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill-country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived therein.

^{51 Ref} These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh, at the door of the tent of meeting. So they made an end of dividing the land.

^{12 Ref} And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia,

^{13 Ref} And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goeth out to Remmonmethoar to Neah;

¹⁴ And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthahel:

^{15 Ref} And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

^{29 Ref} And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:

^{30 Ref} Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.

^{31 Ref} This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

³² The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

^{49 Ref} When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:

^{50 Ref} According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein.

^{51 Ref} These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
