1 Ref <To the chief music-maker; put to the Gittith A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.> How dear are your tents, O Lord of armies!
2 Ref The passion of my soul's desire is for the house of the Lord; my heart and my flesh are crying out for the living God.
3 Ref The little birds have places for themselves, where they may put their young, even your altars, O Lord of armies, my King and my God.
4 Ref Happy are they whose resting-place is in your house: they will still be praising you. (Selah.)
5 Ref Happy is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
6 Ref Going through the valley of balsam-trees, they make it a place of springs; it is clothed with blessings by the early rain.
7 Ref They go from strength to strength; every one of them comes before God in Zion.
8 Ref O Lord God of armies, let my prayer come to you: give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah.)
9 Ref O God, let your eyes be on him who is our safe cover, and let your heart be turned to your king.
10 Ref For a day in your house is better than a thousand. It is better to be a door-keeper in the house of my God, than to be living in the tents of sin.
11 Ref The Lord God is our sun and our strength: the Lord will give grace and glory: he will not keep back any good thing from those whose ways are upright.
12 Ref O Lord of armies, happy is the man whose hope is in you.

1 Ref To the Overseer. -- `On the Gittith By sons of Korah.' -- A Psalm. How beloved Thy tabernacles, Jehovah of Hosts!
2 Ref My soul desired, yea, it hath also been consumed, For the courts of Jehovah, My heart and my flesh cry aloud unto the living God,
3 Ref (Even a sparrow hath found a house, And a swallow a nest for herself, Where she hath placed her brood,) Thine altars, O Jehovah of Hosts, My king and my God.
4 Ref O the happiness of those inhabiting Thy house, Yet do they praise Thee. Selah.
5 Ref O the happiness of a man whose strength is in Thee, Highways `are' in their heart.
6 Ref Those passing through a valley of weeping, A fountain do make it, Blessings also cover the director.
7 Ref They go from strength unto strength, He appeareth unto God in Zion.
8 Ref O Jehovah, God of Hosts, hear my prayer, Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Ref Our shield, see, O God, And behold the face of Thine anointed,
10 Ref For good `is' a day in Thy courts, O Teacher! I have chosen rather to be at the threshold, In the house of my God, Than to dwell in tents of wickedness.
11 Ref For a sun and a shield `is' Jehovah God, Grace and honour doth Jehovah give. He withholdeth not good To those walking in uprightness.
12 Ref Jehovah of Hosts! O the happiness of a man trusting in Thee.
