^{1 Ref} Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

^{2 Ref} Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

^{3 Ref} Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

^{4 Ref} For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

^{5 Ref} Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

^{6 Ref} Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

^{7 Ref} To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

^{8 Ref} To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

^{9 Ref} To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

^{4 Ref} For the Lord has pleasure in his people: he gives the poor in spirit a crown of salvation.

^{5 Ref} Let the saints have joy and glory: let them give cries of joy on their beds.

^{6 Ref} Let the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hands;

^{7 Ref} To give the nations the reward of their sins, and the peoples their punishment;

^{8 Ref} To put their kings in chains, and their rulers in bands of iron;

^{9 Ref} To give them the punishment which is in the holy writings: this honour is given to all his saints. Praise be to the Lord.
