^{1 Ref} He showed me a{TR adds "pure"} river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,

^{2 Ref} in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

^{3 Ref} There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him.

^{4 Ref} They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

^{5 Ref} There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

^{6 Ref} He said to me, "These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon."

^{7 Ref} "Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

^{8 Ref} Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things.

^{9 Ref} He said to me, "See you don't do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

^{10 Ref} He said to me, "Don't seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

^{11 Ref} He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still."

^{12 Ref} "Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.

^{13 Ref} I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

^{14 Ref} Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

^{15 Ref} Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

^{16 Ref} I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the Bright and Morning Star."

^{17 Ref} The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

^{18 Ref} I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

^{19 Ref} If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

^{20 Ref} He who testifies these things says, "Yes, I come quickly." Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus.

^{21 Ref} The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.

^{2 Ref} In the middle of its street. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, having twelve sorts of fruits, giving its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree give life to the nations.

^{3 Ref} And there will be no more curse: and the high seat of God and of the Lamb will be there; and his servants will be worshipping him;

^{4 Ref} And they will see his face; and his name will be on their brows.

^{5 Ref} And there will be no more night; and they have no need of a light or of the shining of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light: and they will be ruling for ever and ever.

^{6 Ref} And he said to me, These words are certain and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to make clear to his servants the things which are now to come about.

^{7 Ref} See, I come quickly. A blessing on him who keeps the words of this book of the prophet.

^{8 Ref} And I, John, am he who saw these things and to whose ears they came. And when I had seen and given ear, I went down on my face to give worship at the feet of the angel who made these things clear to me.

^{9 Ref} And he said to me, See you do it not; I am a brother-servant with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: give worship to God.

^{10 Ref} And he said to me, Let not the words of this prophet's book be kept secret, because the time is near.

^{11 Ref} Let the evil man go on in his evil: and let the unclean be still unclean: and let the upright go on in his righteousness: and let the holy be holy still.

^{12 Ref} See, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man the outcome of his works.

^{13 Ref} I am the First and the Last, the start and the end.

^{14 Ref} A blessing on those whose robes are washed, so that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may go in by the doors into the town.

^{15 Ref} Outside are the dogs, and those who make use of evil powers, those who make themselves unclean, and the takers of life, and those who give worship to images, and everyone whose delight is in what is false.

^{16 Ref} I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give witness to you of these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star.

^{17 Ref} And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who gives ear, say, Come. And let him who is in need come; and let everyone desiring it take of the water of life freely.

^{18 Ref} For I say to every man to whose ears have come the words of this prophet's book, If any man makes an addition to them, God will put on him the punishments which are in this book:

^{19 Ref} And if any man takes away from the words of this book, God will take away from him his part in the tree of life and the holy town, even the things which are in this book.

^{20 Ref} He who gives witness to these things says, Truly, I come quickly. Even so come, Lord Jesus.

^{5 Ref} And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

^{7 Ref} And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.

^{9 Ref} And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren the prophets, and with them that keep the words of this book: worship God.

^{10 Ref} And he saith unto me, Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand.

^{11 Ref} He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still.

^{12 Ref} Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.

^{16 Ref} I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star.

^{17 Ref} And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.

^{18 Ref} I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book:

^{19 Ref} and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

^{20 Ref} He who testifieth these things saith, Yea: I come quickly. Amen: come, Lord Jesus.

^{21 Ref} The grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints. Amen.
