Habakkuk 3
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
17 Ref Though the fig-tree doth not flourish, And there is no produce among vines, Failed hath the work of the olive, And fields have not yielded food, Cut off from the fold hath been the flock, And there is no herd in the stalls.
18 Ref Yet I, in Jehovah I exult, I do joy in the God of my salvation.
19 Ref Jehovah the Lord `is' my strength, And He doth make my feet like hinds, And on my high-places causeth me to tread. To the overseer with my stringed instruments!
American Standard-ASV1901 (ASV)
17 Ref For though the fig-tree shall not flourish, Neither shall fruit be in the vines; The labor of the olive shall fail, And the fields shall yield no food; The flock shall be cut off from the fold, And there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Ref Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 Ref Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength; And he maketh my feet like hinds' `feet', And will make me to walk upon my high places.
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
17 Ref For though the fig-tree has no flowers, and there is no fruit on the vine, and work on the olive comes to nothing, and the fields give no food; and the flock is cut off from its resting-place, and there is no herd in the cattle-house:
18 Ref Still, I will be glad in the Lord, my joy will be in the God of my salvation.
19 Ref The Lord God is my strength, and he makes my feet like roes' feet, guiding me on my high places. For the chief music-maker on corded instruments.
