1 Timothy 2
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Ref I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men:
2 Ref for kings, and all who are in authority, that a quiet and peaceable life we may lead in all piety and gravity,
3 Ref for this `is' right and acceptable before God our Saviour,
4 Ref who doth will all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
5 Ref for one `is' God, one also `is' mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 Ref who did give himself a ransom for all -- the testimony in its own times --
7 Ref in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle -- truth I say in Christ, I do not lie -- a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
8 Ref I wish, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up kind hands, apart from anger and reasoning;
9 Ref in like manner also the women, in becoming apparel, with modesty and sobriety to adorn themselves, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or garments of great price,
10 Ref but -- which becometh women professing godly piety -- through good works.
11 Ref Let a woman in quietness learn in all subjection,
12 Ref and a woman I do not suffer to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
13 Ref for Adam was first formed, then Eve,
14 Ref and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, into transgression came,
15 Ref and she shall be saved through the child-bearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.

1 Ref I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;
2 Ref for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.
3 Ref This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Ref who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 Ref For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, `himself' man, Christ Jesus,
6 Ref who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony `to be borne' in its own times;
7 Ref whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth, I lie not), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 Ref I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.
9 Ref In like manner, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefastness and sobriety; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly raiment;
10 Ref but (which becometh women professing godliness) through good works.
11 Ref Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.
12 Ref But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.
13 Ref For Adam was first formed, then Eve;
14 Ref and Adam was not beguiled, but the woman being beguiled hath fallen into transgression:
15 Ref but she shall be saved through her child-bearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with sobriety.
