1 Ref A Song of the Ascents. From depths I have called Thee, Jehovah.

2 Ref Lord, hearken to my voice, Thine ears are attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 Ref If iniquities Thou dost observe, O Lord, who doth stand?

4 Ref But with Thee `is' forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

5 Ref I hoped `for' Jehovah -- hoped hath my soul, And for His word I have waited.

6 Ref My soul `is' for the Lord, More than those watching for morning, Watching for morning!

7 Ref Israel doth wait on Jehovah, For with Jehovah `is' kindness, And abundant with Him `is' redemption.

8 Ref And He doth redeem Israel from all his iniquities!

6 Ref My soul `waiteth' for the Lord More than watchmen `wait' for the morning; `Yea, more than' watchmen for the morning.

7 Ref O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.

6 Ref My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; More than watchmen for the morning.

7 Ref Israel, hope in Yahweh, For with Yahweh there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption.

8 Ref He will redeem Israel from all their sins.
