⁶ Children's children are the crown of old men; And the glory of children are their fathers.

¹⁷ But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, And his righteousness unto children's children;

¹⁸ To such as keep his covenant, And to those that remember his precepts to do them.

¹⁹ Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.

⁸ My son, hear the instruction of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother:

⁹ For they shall be a chaplet of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck.

¹⁰ My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not.

⁹ Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of thy life of vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all thy days of vanity: for that is thy portion in life, and in thy labor wherein thou laborest under the sun.

²⁷ Prepare thy work without, And make it ready for thee in the field; And afterwards build thy house.

¹⁷ A friend loveth at all times; And a brother is born for adversity.

⁴ And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.

³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.

⁴ But if any widow hath children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to requite their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

¹⁰ Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; And go not to thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: Better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.

²⁰ If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, cannot love God whom he hath not seen.

² Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.

³ And every one that hath this hope `set' on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

⁴ Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

¹³ If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall `your' heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

⁸ But if any provideth not for his own, and specially his own household, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

¹⁵ My son, if thy heart be wise, My heart will be glad, even mine:

³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, thou and thy house.

³ Lo, children are a heritage of Jehovah; `And' the fruit of the womb is `his' reward.

⁴ As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, So are the children of youth.

⁵⁷ Jehovah our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us;

²⁹ He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind; And the foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.

¹ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

² Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),

³ that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

²⁴ The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; And he that begetteth a wise child will have joy of him.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.

¹⁷ Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee.

¹ Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

³³ Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and `let' the wife `see' that she fear her husband.

⁶ But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female made he them.

⁷ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;

⁸ and the two shall become one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.

⁹ What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

¹⁰ And in the house the disciples asked him again of this matter.
