^{1 Ref} A Psalm of David. Jehovah `is' my shepherd, I do not lack,

^{2 Ref} In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me.

^{3 Ref} My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name's sake,

^{4 Ref} Also -- when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou `art' with me, Thy rod and Thy staff -- they comfort me.

^{5 Ref} Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full!

^{6 Ref} Only -- goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling `is' in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days!

^{1 Ref} <A Psalm. Of David.> The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing.

^{2 Ref} He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters.

^{3 Ref} He gives new life to my soul: he is my guide in the ways of righteousness because of his name.

^{4 Ref} Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort.

^{5 Ref} You make ready a table for me in front of my haters: you put oil on my head; my cup is overflowing.

^{6 Ref} Truly, blessing and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; and I will have a place in the house of the Lord all my days.

^{3 Ref} He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

^{4 Ref} Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

^{5 Ref} Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

^{6 Ref} Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
