Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

1 Ref Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise `is' comely.

2 Ref Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,

3 Ref Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.

4 Ref For upright `is' the word of Jehovah, And all His work `is' in faithfulness.

5 Ref Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.

6 Ref By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.

7 Ref Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.

8 Ref Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.

9 Ref For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.

10 Ref Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.

11 Ref The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.

12 Ref O the happiness of the nation whose God `is' Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.

13 Ref From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.

14 Ref From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;

15 Ref Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.

16 Ref The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.

17 Ref A false thing `is' the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.

18 Ref Lo, the eye of Jehovah `is' to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,

19 Ref To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.

20 Ref Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield `is' He,

21 Ref For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.

22 Ref Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!

1 Ref Be glad in the Lord, O doers of righteousness; for praise is beautiful for the upright.

4 Ref For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are certain.

5 Ref His delight is in righteousness and wisdom; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

6 Ref By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the army of heaven by the breath of his mouth.

7 Ref He makes the waters of the sea come together in a mass; he keeps the deep seas in store-houses.

8 Ref Let the earth be full of the fear of the Lord; let all the people of the world be in holy fear of him.

9 Ref For he gave the word, and it was done; by his order it was fixed for ever.

10 Ref The Lord undoes the designs of the nations; he makes the thoughts of the peoples without effect.

11 Ref The Lord's purpose is eternal, the designs of his heart go on through all the generations of man.

12 Ref Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has taken for his heritage.

13 Ref The Lord is looking down from heaven; he sees all the sons of men;

14 Ref From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;

15 Ref He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him.

16 Ref A king's salvation is not in the power of his army; a strong man does not get free by his great strength.

17 Ref A horse is a false hope; his great power will not make any man free from danger.

18 Ref See, the eye of the Lord is on those in whose hearts is the fear of him, on those whose hope is in his mercy;

19 Ref To keep their souls from death; and to keep them living in time of need.

20 Ref Our souls are waiting for the Lord; he is our help and our salvation.

21 Ref For in him our hearts have joy; in his holy name is our hope.

22 Ref Let your mercy be on us, O Lord, as we are waiting for you.

11 Ref The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Ref Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 Ref The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 Ref From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 Ref He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 Ref There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 Ref An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Ref Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 Ref To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Ref Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

21 Ref For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Ref Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
