James 5
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
7 Ref Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord; lo, the husbandman doth expect the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, till he may receive rain -- early and latter;
8 Ref be patient, ye also; establish your hearts, because the presence of the Lord hath drawn nigh;
9 Ref murmur not against one another, brethren, that ye may not be condemned; lo, the Judge before the door hath stood.
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
7 Ref Go on waiting calmly, my brothers, till the coming of the Lord, like the farmer waiting for the good fruit of the earth till the early and late rains have come.
8 Ref Be as calm in your waiting; let your hearts be strong: because the coming of the Lord is near.
9 Ref Say no hard things against one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged; see, the judge is waiting at the doors.
World English Bible (WEB)
7 Ref Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.
8 Ref You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
9 Ref Don't grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won't be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.
