^{1 Ref} To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of David. Only -- toward God `is' my soul silent, From Him `is' my salvation.

^{2 Ref} Only -- He `is' my rock, and my salvation, My tower, I am not much moved.

^{3 Ref} Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.

^{4 Ref} Only -- from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah.

^{5 Ref} Only -- for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him `is' my hope.

^{6 Ref} Only -- He `is' my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.

^{7 Ref} On God `is' my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge `is' in God.

^{8 Ref} Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God `is' a refuge for us. Selah.

^{9 Ref} Only -- vanity `are' the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity `are' lighter.

^{10 Ref} Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth -- when it increaseth -- set not the heart.

^{11 Ref} Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That `strength `is' with God.'

^{12 Ref} And with Thee, O Lord, `is' kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work!

^{2 Ref} He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

^{3 Ref} How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

^{4 Ref} They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

^{5 Ref} My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

^{6 Ref} He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

^{7 Ref} In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

^{8 Ref} Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

^{9 Ref} Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

^{10 Ref} Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

^{11 Ref} God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

^{12 Ref} Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

^{2 Ref} He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.

^{3 Ref} How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling?

^{4 Ref} Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah.)

^{5 Ref} My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.

^{6 Ref} He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.

^{7 Ref} In God is my salvation, and my glory; the Rock of my strength, and my safe place.

^{8 Ref} Have faith in him at all times, you people; let your hearts go flowing out before him: God is our safe place. (Selah.)

^{9 Ref} Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath.

^{10 Ref} Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.

^{11 Ref} Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:

^{12 Ref} And mercy, O Lord, is yours, for you give to every man the reward of his work.
