³² And of the children of Issachar, men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

¹³ Then the king said to the wise men, who knew the times, (for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment;

¹⁷ Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁵⁶ Ye hypocrites, ye know how to interpret the face of the earth and the heaven; but how is it that ye know not how to interpret this time?

⁵⁷ And why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

³ And in the morning, `It will be' foul weather to-day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye know how to discern the face of the heaven; but ye cannot `discern' the signs of the times.

⁹ The voice of Jehovah crieth unto the city, and `the man of' wisdom will see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

⁶ And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.

¹² And in that day did the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

¹³ and behold, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we shall die.

¹⁴ And Jehovah of hosts revealed himself in mine ears, Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you till ye die, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁸ Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good.

¹⁹ Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.

⁵ A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth might,

⁸ The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way; But the folly of fools is deceit.

¹⁴ Issachar is a strong ass, Couching down between the sheepfolds:
