¹⁸ Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the men subject to taskwork; and all Israel stoned him to death with stones. And king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

¹⁴ And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses; a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the men subject to taskwork.

⁶ and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to taskwork.

²⁴ and Adoram was over the men subject to taskwork; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder;

⁵⁷ But they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord;

⁵⁸ and they cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

²⁶ Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them, `but' without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.

¹⁶ and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.

¹ The wicked flee when no man pursueth; But the righteous are bold as a lion.

²⁰ And they slew every one his man; and the Syrians fled, and Israel pursued them: and Ben-hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with horsemen.

¹⁰ But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of Jehovah appeared in the tent of meeting unto all the children of Israel.

⁴ And Moses cried unto Jehovah, saying, What shall I do unto this people? They are almost ready to stone me.
