²⁸ Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee this day;

¹ And he spake a parable unto them to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;

¹⁷ Now therefore, O our God, hearken unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

¹⁸ O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies' sake.

¹⁹ O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

² Let my prayer be set forth as incense before thee; The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

¹ O Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee.

² Let my prayer enter into thy presence; Incline thine ear unto my cry.

⁶ Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer; And hearken unto the voice of my supplications.

⁷ In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee; For thou wilt answer me.

³ Be merciful unto me, O Lord; For unto thee do I cry all the day long.

¹ Give ear to my words, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation.

¹ Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; Thou hast set me at large `when I was' in distress: Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

⁷ And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and `yet' he is longsuffering over them?
