⁴¹ And she arose, and bowed herself with her face to the earth, and said, Behold, thy handmaid is a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

¹⁰ Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found favor in thy sight, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a foreigner?

¹⁰ well reported of for good works; if she hath brought up children, if she hath used hospitality to strangers, if she hath washed the saints' feet, if she hath relieved the afflicted, if she hath diligently followed every good work.

⁴ let now a little water be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

¹³ Then she said, Let me find favor in thy sight, my lord, for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken kindly unto thy handmaid, though I be not as one of thy handmaidens.

³³ The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom; And before honor `goeth' humility.

¹² Before destruction the heart of man is haughty; And before honor `goeth' humility.

³ `Jesus', knowing that the Father had given all the things into his hands, and that he came forth from God, and goeth unto God,

⁴ riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments; and he took a towel, and girded himself.

⁵ Then he poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
