9 All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

2 Chronicles 11:23

23 And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his sons throughout all the lands of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fortified city: and he gave them victuals in abundance. And he sought `for them' many wives.

Song of Solomon 6:8-9

8 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, And virgins without number.

9 My dove, my undefiled, is `but' one; She is the only one of her mother; She is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed; `Yea', the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
