³ he took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city; and they helped him.

²⁰ Thou sayest (but they are but vain words), `There is' counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou hast rebelled against me?

²⁰ Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

² For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.

²² Where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed; But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

¹⁸ Every purpose is established by counsel; And by wise guidance make thou war.

¹¹ ye made also a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But ye looked not unto him that had done this, neither had ye respect unto him that purposed it long ago.

¹³ Who hath directed the Spirit of Jehovah, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

³⁴ For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
