⁷ And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were in the house of Jehovah, where the women wove hangings for the Asherah.

¹⁶ And thou didst take of thy garments, and madest for thee high places decked with divers colors, and playedst the harlot upon them: `the like things' shall not come, neither shall it be `so'.

¹² And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

²⁴ and there were also sodomites in the land: they did according to all the abominations of the nations which Jehovah drove out before the children of Israel.

²⁵ And all the women that were wise-hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.

²⁶ And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats' `hair'.

²⁶ For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:

²⁷ and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.

¹³ And I will visit upon her the days of the Baalim, unto which she burned incense, when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith Jehovah.

¹⁴ Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Jehovah's house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.

³³ And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were found in Israel to serve, even to serve Jehovah their God. All his days they departed not from following Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

⁴⁶ And the remnant of the sodomites, that remained in the days of his father Asa, he put away out of the land.

⁴ But before they lay down, the men of the city, `even' the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;

⁵ and they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
