¹³ And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron; and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

⁹ All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

¹⁷ Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

⁵ And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

⁶ But unto the sons of the concubines, that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts. And he sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

³ And David took more wives at Jerusalem; and David begat more sons and daughters.

⁴ And these are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

⁵ and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet,

⁶ and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

⁷ and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.

¹⁸ And Rehoboam took him a wife, Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David, `and of' Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;

¹⁹ and she bare him sons: Jeush, and Shemariah, and Zaham.

²⁰ And after her he took Maacah the daughter of Absalom; and she bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

²¹ And Rehoboam loved Maacah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines, and begat twenty and eight sons and threescore daughters.)

²¹ But Abijah waxed mighty, and took unto himself fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
