⁶ if so be that it is righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,

¹⁰ and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

⁴¹ If I whet my glittering sword, And my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.

⁴² I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.

⁴³ Rejoice, O ye nations, `with' his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.

² for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, her that corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, who art and who wast, thou Holy One, because thou didst thus judge:

⁶ for they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy.

⁴ Who shall not fear, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy; for all the nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy righteous acts have been made manifest.

¹⁸ And the nations were wroth, and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and `the time' to give their reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth.

²⁵ For he that doeth wrong shall receive again for the wrong that he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

⁸ For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After glory hath he sent me unto the nations which plundered you; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

²⁶ And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

²⁰ Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee, Which frameth mischief by statute?

²¹ They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.

²² But Jehovah hath been my high tower, And my God the rock of my refuge.

²³ And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness; Jehovah our God will cut them off.

¹⁰ Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed Be known among the nations in our sight.

¹¹ Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee: According to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to death;

¹² And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

²² Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee all the day.

²³ Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: The tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually. Psalm 75 For the Chief Musician; `set to' Al-tash-heth. A Psalm of Asaph; a song.

²² But if thou shalt indeed hearken unto his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
