⁴ Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.

¹⁰ I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you--

² to Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

² unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁴ But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before `them' all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

³ Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

⁶ And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant David my father great lovingkindness, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great lovingkindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

⁴ That Jehovah may establish his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

¹⁴ I write not these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

¹⁵ For though ye have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet `have ye' not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begat you through the gospel.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness overtake you not: and he that walketh in the darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

³⁶ While ye have the light, believe on the light, that ye may become sons of light. These things spake Jesus, and he departed and hid himself from them.

³ and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

¹⁸ Behold, I and the children whom Jehovah hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Jehovah of hosts, who dwelleth in mount Zion.

²⁴ The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; And he that begetteth a wise child will have joy of him.

¹ Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in Jehovah without wavering.

² Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; Try my heart and my mind.

³ For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes; And I have walked in thy truth.
