⁷ And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

⁹ And Jehovah God called unto the man, and said unto him, Where art thou?

²³ And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.

⁴⁵ Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me.

⁹ Wherefore I will yet contend with you, saith Jehovah, and with your children's children will I contend.

⁵ thus saith Jehovah, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

²² Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

²³ Thou hast not brought me of thy sheep for burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.

²⁴ Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

²⁵ I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.

²⁶ Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth `thy cause', that thou mayest be justified.

¹⁰ And Jehovah came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel said, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

⁴ And when Jehovah saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

¹¹ And the angel of Jehovah called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham. And he said, Here I am.

¹ And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he said, Here am I.

⁸ And he said, Hagar, Sarai's handmaid, whence camest thou? and whither goest thou? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.

¹³ though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;
