³⁴ And when he had read it, he asked of what province he was; and when he understood that he was of Cilicia,

³⁹ But Paul said, I am a Jew, of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, give me leave to speak unto the people.

¹ Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

¹ Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus (this is Ahasuerus who reigned from India even unto Ethiopia, over a hundred and seven and twenty provinces),

⁹ Then were the king's scribes called at that time, in the third month Sivan, on the three and twentieth `day' thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the satraps, and the governors and princes of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, a hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.

⁴⁹ And Daniel requested of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel was in the gate of the king.

¹ It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty satraps, who should be throughout the whole kingdom;

⁶ But when Pilate heard it, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

⁹ But there arose certain of them that were of the synagogue called `the synagogue' of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.

⁴¹ And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
