¹⁴ For these nations, that thou shalt dispossess, hearken unto them that practise augury, and unto diviners; but as for thee, Jehovah thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

⁶ And God said unto him in the dream, Yea, I know that in the integrity of thy heart thou has done this, and I also withheld thee from sinning against me. Therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

¹⁰ There shall not be found with thee any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, one that practiseth augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

¹⁹ He showeth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.

²⁰ He hath not dealt so with any nation; And as for his ordinances, they have not known them. Praise ye Jehovah.

¹⁶ who in the generations gone by suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways.
