²⁶ For to the man that pleaseth him `God' giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

²² A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children; And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.

¹⁶ Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare raiment as the clay;

¹⁷ He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, And the innocent shall divide the silver.

²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.

⁸ He that augmenteth his substance by interest and increase, Gathereth it for him that hath pity on the poor.

¹³ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding.

¹⁴ For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, And the profit thereof than fine gold.

¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies: And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: And happy is every one that retaineth her.

²⁰ And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah; and he wrought that which was good and right and faithful before Jehovah his God.

²¹ And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms `and' hymns `and' spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.

¹⁷ And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, `do' all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard `it', do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

¹¹ strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy;

¹² giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²³ meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

¹ And Jehovah said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

¹⁰ Say ye of the righteous, that `it shall be' well `with him'; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹¹ Woe unto the wicked! `it shall be' ill `with him'; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.

¹⁴ I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.

⁸ But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

³¹ that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
