¹⁷ It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

³¹ And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

¹³ Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily ye shall keep my sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.

² And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

³ And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made.

¹⁰ For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

¹² Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth them.

³ For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

⁴ For he hath said somewhere of the seventh `day' on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;

²⁰ and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah your God.

⁴¹ Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

³¹ Let the glory of Jehovah endure for ever; Let Jehovah rejoice in his works:

⁷ When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
