²⁷ And Jehovah said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mountain of God, and kissed him.

¹ Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

²⁰ But arise, and get thee down, and go with them, nothing doubting: for I have sent them.

⁵ And now send men to Joppa, and fetch one Simon, who is surnamed Peter:

⁶ he lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side.

⁹ Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.

⁸ And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

¹⁵ And Moses went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.

¹⁶ And the glory of Jehovah abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

¹⁷ And the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

¹⁸ And all the people perceived the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off.

³ And Moses went up unto God, and Jehovah called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is there not Aaron thy brother the Levite? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

¹⁶ And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people; and it shall come to pass, that he shall be to thee a mouth, and thou shalt be to him as God.

¹¹ And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
