⁴ unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of Jehovah.

⁷ And Jehovah appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto Jehovah, who appeared unto him.

⁸ And he removed from thence unto the mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto Jehovah, and called upon the name of Jehovah.

¹⁸ with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

¹⁹ And on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

¹² And ye shall call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

¹⁵ Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

² Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, Therefore will I call `upon him' as long as I live.

¹⁸ Jehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him, To all that call upon him in truth.

⁹ Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;

⁹ For then will I turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent.

² unto the church of God which is at Corinth, `even' them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called `to be' saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their `Lord' and ours:

¹ O give thanks unto Jehovah; For he is good; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever.

¹⁰ For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹ Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed.

² O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come.

¹ As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.

² My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?

¹ And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, who appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

² Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments:

³ and let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

¹⁸ And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar unto Jehovah.

⁸ Jehovah, I love the habitation of thy house, And the place where thy glory dwelleth.

¹ How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

² My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.

⁸ Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁷ I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of Jehovah.

²⁶ And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enosh. Then began men to call upon the name of Jehovah.
